"My earliest memories are shaped by running barefoot through nature in Colombia. Wherever I go, I long for that connection to the earth. I chase it with my camera—stepping into texture, into light, into the feeling of a place. Through silk, those impressions become the trees, the mountains, the oceans and sky that I want to immerse myself in every day." — Carmen Molina
CARMEN is a world where silk becomes story.
The work begins with an interplay between light, pattern, and form—captured through the camera. The photographs become raw material: to be altered, richly layered, pigmented, and reworked into abstract compositions—then adapted into classic sartorial silhouettes.
Through this process, CARMEN explores how silk as substrate, and the printed image, can create garments that are both visually textured and emotionally resonant.
Founder Carmen Molina’s work has explored the sensorial through photography, surface, and layers. With CARMEN, this vision expands into a new dimension—where memory, movement, and tactility become part of the experience, inviting closeness and offering a sensuality to be lived in.
